Alredy in the 17th century there was a redoubt and a tavern by the Oxelö sound. The pilots built their own houses in the 1870´s and this is what we nowadays call Gamla Oxelösund
You can walk the culture trail starting by the pilot lookout point and continuing through this idyllic natur- and culture environment.
Follow the signs saying Kulturstig and the blue markings to find your way around the trail.
